Introduction to wine! This class will be a guided tasting with 6 contrasting wines from various locales and will cover the basics of tasting, pairing, and learning how to determine the specific characteristics of the wine in front of you. We will discuss terroir, bouquet, and the vocabulary to use and identify and determine the things that you prefer and how to use that information to discover other grapes and blends that are to your liking. We will also touch on how to read a wine label and discuss what to look for on a budget! This event is a BYOG - bring your own wine glass!
There will be white and red offerings, snacks are encouraged should you like to bring some along, and following the class Evan will be instructing attendees on how to make your very own chocolate mold for Valentines or even just for fun!
