Projects are so much more fun with blinky and colorful LED's! You will be introduced to addressable RGB LED's (WS2812b aka NeoPixels) and using a microcontroller to program them - dream up anything from humble indicator to multi-color animations. Instructor Matt Yarema will teach you about NeoPixel wiring, power source options, and how to utilize software libraries. See code examples in action, then try your own in a workshop session. NeoPixels/microcontroller included, please bring your own laptop. Programming experience recommended (E.g., Arduino, C, etc.) but not required.
